Your safety stock is covering for what you don't know

Many FMCG producers absorb uncertainty about their own load carriers through extra safety stock and manual counts. CLC replaces that workaround with reliable knowledge of where your load carriers are needed and how often they are reused, which is also where a smarter supply chain begins.

  • Proof of reuse for PPWR

Each recorded movement adds to a verifiable reuse history, giving you the evidence PPWR expects from load carrier owners.

  • Availability without excess

Automatic counts and low-stock alerts show what a site needs, so you can reduce safety stock without risking shortages.

  • Handovers settled on facts

Electronic proof of delivery confirms when load carriers reach the receiving site, so disputes between business units rest on facts.

Value from the first step

Reliable load carrier knowledge from the first implementation

Your plants and business units ship load carriers to each other every day, which makes those internal flows a logical place to start and the first source of knowledge you can act on.

  • Know how many load carriers are on hand at each connected site

  • See where internal handovers take place and which site received what

  • Hardware, software, connectivity, implementation ánd service from one partner

From data to evidence

Load carrier data that builds into PPWR evidence

When you own your load carriers, PPWR places the burden of proof on you. Because CLC registers movements at the points that matter, that proof builds up in daily operations rather than being reconstructed afterwards.

  • Show how often each connected load carrier has been reused

  • Spot imbalances and delays early, while they are still easy to resolve

  • Rely on one record for PPWR, internal reporting and dispute resolution

How CLC works for producers

There is no need to connect every plant and load carrier at once, because we start with the question you need answered today, such as availability or proof of reuse, and turn the knowledge it creates into supply chain optimisation.

  • 1. Start where it matters

We begin with the question you need answered, for example about the crates or pallets moving between two of your plants. As one dedicated partner, CLC delivers hardware, software, connectivity, installation and support.

  • 2. Optimise with knowledge

Together we decide which insights matter most, such as dwell time, availability or correct loading. We then activate those that lower buffer stock, reduce manual counting or improve production planning, enriching your existing systems.

  • 3. Connect the ecosystem

Your picture grows with every load carrier and site you add, with every receiver in TTAN™, an independent network for digital supply chains, and with every partner that connects. You always decide which data you share.

What reliable load carrier knowledge changes for producers

With CLC

  • Safety stock based on facts

Automatic counts at connected sites show what is available, so safety stock reflects actual need rather than uncertainty.

  • Clear responsibility between sites

Registered handovers and electronic proof of delivery show which site received what, so responsibility is clear from the start.

  • Reuse you can prove

Each registered movement adds to the record PPWR requires, so the evidence is already in place when you need it.

Without CLC

  • Safety stock as insurance

Extra stock and manual counts compensate for not knowing how many load carriers each site actually holds.

  • Handovers open to interpretation

When a load carrier is damaged or lost between plants, responsibility is settled through manual checks and slow reconciliation.

  • Reuse based on estimates

Proving how often owned load carriers have been reused means piecing together scattered records after the fact.

Frequently asked questions

Do we need to connect all our load carriers and sites at once?
No, you can begin with one type of load carrier, a few sites or a focused pilot, for example the crates or pallets boxes moving between two of your plants. Your first implementation already provides reliable knowledge to improve availability and support compliance, after which you can add load carriers, locations or transport movements step by step as new needs appear.
Which technology does CLC use in its solution?
CLC provides the complete solution from one partner, covering hardware, software, connectivity, installation and support. We are not tied to one technology, so we select what fits your question, operating environment and type of load carrier, such as beacons, RFID or cellular. Technology on the load carrier makes it recognisable, receivers at points such as warehouses, loading docks and trucks register it and our software turns that data into insight.
What determines the cost of a CLC solution?
CLC's pricing reflects the business value its data and insights create, rather than the volume of data collected or the technology used to collect it. The best starting point is a free supply chain Quickscan, in which we identify where our solution can create the most value for your operation.
Does CLC work with our existing ERP, WMS or TMS?
Yes, CLC connects directly to your existing dispatch software and updates locations and travel logs automatically, so your team no longer has to enter that data by hand. You keep your ERP, WMS and TMS for planning and execution, while CLC fills the data gaps between locations and handovers, so there is no need to start over.
Do you offer a pilot or trial phase?
CLC starts with a free supply chain Quickscan, which is a short, no-obligation consultation in which we look at your supply chain, discuss your key challenges and identify where our solution can bring clarity and control. If you want to move forward, a follow-up meeting explores your situation in more depth and where a solution needs to be tested in a new environment or for a unique use case, we may run a pilot.
What does PPWR mean for producers that use reusable load carriers?
PPWR, the EU Packaging and Packaging Waste Regulation, requires the owner of a reusable load carrier to demonstrate how it is reused and to keep the related documentation. For load carriers supplied by a pooling operator, that burden lies largely with the pooler, but for the pallets, crates and bulk boxes you own, including those moving between your own sites, it lies with you. CLC helps by registering movements and handovers during daily operations, so the record builds up as you work.

FMCG producers should never have to make operational decisions based on incomplete knowledge of the load carriers they own. The knowledge you build today is where a smarter supply chain begins and it grows with every site you connect.
